      <image:caption>Amane Takaishi, a native of Japan, began her early training with Mitsuyo Kishibe in Tokyo. At the age of 13, she moved to the U.K. and studied ballet with Desmond Kelly, OBE at Elmhurst School of Dance in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet, followed by Central School of Ballet, under the direction of Sara Matthews. Amane extended her training through summer intensives at Royal Ballet School and English National Ballet School. In 2013, she received BA with honors in Dance and Performing Arts from Kent University, U.K. Highlights from her professional career as a ballet dancer include dancing as a Snow Queen in Urban Nutcracker with City Ballet of Boston in her first year, 2019. She has also danced with Eugene Ballet Company, Ballet Tucson and A&amp;A Ballet, Chicago. In the Boston area, she has worked with Gianni Di Marco and danced in his productions; A Midsummer Night’s Dance (2018), The Nutcracker (2020), and Discombobulated (2020). Amane is thrilled to dance with the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra again. This is her third time and she feels very lucky to work with such a wonderful team.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Betsy Boxberger Khalil trained under Victoria Lyras at the Indianapolis School of Ballet. She graduated from Duke University with a double Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Environmental Policy. Betsy is currently a company member with City Ballet of Boston. She has also performed with José Mateo Ballet Theatre, Janelle Gilchrist Dance Troupe, Fukudance, and Ballet Quad Cities, and as a guest artist with Dance Kaleidoscope and the Indianapolis School of Ballet. Featured roles include the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Urban Nutcracker, the Pink Girl in Gerald Arpino’s Birthday Variations, Second Violin in Concerto Barocco, the lead girl in Valse Fantasie, and George Balanchine’s Sugar Plum in The Nutcracker. In 2015, she was awarded the Robert D. Beckmann, Jr. Emerging Artist Fellowship by the Arts Council of Indianapolis.</image:caption>

He continued his studies as the Presidential Scholar for the Contemporary Dance Performance Class of 2023 at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. In addition, Christian has studied with numerous companies and choreographers, including Ballet Hispanico, Alonzo Kings LINES Ballet, and Ohad Naharin in the Gaga Winter Intensive.       <image:caption>Jean Robens Georges ("Georges") began his dance training as a scholarship student at L'Académie de danse Régine Montrosier Trouillot (RMT) in Haiti in 2002, where he studied ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern dance. He then studied dramatic art and contemporary dance at the Escuela Nacional De Danza (ENDANZA) in the Dominican Republic. George also studied at Études de Ballet &amp; Co. in 2009, where he passed his Royal Academy of Dance Intermediate Exam with Distinction. As a professional dancer, Georges danced with the Compagnie de Dance Jean René Delsoin in Haiti and with Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre (JMBT) in Cambridge, MA. He has danced principal roles in Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Tezen, Starmania, Bouki and Malice, Carmen, Anacaona, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Starmania the musical, Les Sylphides, Sylvia, Alice in Wonderland, Copellia, Paquita, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. During his time at JMBT, George became part of the faculty and trained students in The Youth Development Program. He has worked with various dance schools and companies in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Canada, and the United States including BalletRoto in the Dominican Republic, The Ailey School, Broadway Dance Center, The Joffrey Ballet, and Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago. In 2015-16 he became a dance instructor and director of the modern dance program at Études de Ballet in Naples, FL. In fall 2016, he worked as head dance instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Naples and competed around the East Coast. In addition to Harvard, Georges teaches at Center Stage Dance studio in Melrose, Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre in Cambridge, and is a regular guest teacher at the Walnut Hill School, has worked at BalletRox in Jamaica Plain, MA and currently works as a dance instructor at The Tony Williams Dance Center in Jamaica Plain. Jean Robens Georges "Georges" looks forward to continue pursue in his dance career this coming fall season at The Boston Conservatory as a candidate for the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance program for September 2021.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Ruth Whitney is a Boston-based dancer who received her early training and performance experience with the Boston Ballet, studying under Tatiana Nikolaevna Legat and Laura Young.  She has performed regionally and internationally with companies including Boston Ballet and Teatrul De Balet Sibiu, and as a principal dancer with Festival Ballet Providence. Her classical repertoire includes Odette/Odile, Aurora, Juliet, Sugarplum Fairy, Marguerite, Firebird and Titania as well as Balanchine’s neo-classical Agon and Apollo, and Jose’ Limon’s Moor’s Pavane. Ms. Whitney has been fortunate to work with many wonderful choreographers and mentors including Andrew Kelley, Gianni Di Marco, Viktor Plotnikov, Pavel Rotaru, Marcus Schulkind, Donna Silva and Anne Tolbert. In addition to her ballet career, Ms. Whitney holds a BA in English and Dance from UMass Boston. She practiced yoga and Qi gong for many years with Jesse Winder and gyrotonics with Lisa Pari and Carol Somers, among others, and incorporates these philosophies in her approach to movement. She and husband Bill Whitney have two young children who plan extravagant parties and wage epic battles, when they aren’t helping her make costumes for upcoming productions. Ms. Whitney is profoundly grateful to be joining the CSO on stage for this production of Romeo and Juliet, as well as to the many many mentors, friends and family members whose generosity, patience, and faith have made this possible.</image:caption>

He was awarded the John Andrew Ross Award for Theater Excellence and was twice nominated for the Frankie Awards for Outstanding Choreography. He's toured nationally and internationally as performing artist with Philadanco, Anna Myer &amp; Dancers, Prometheus Dance, #DBdanceProject and with Jo-Mé Dance as Choreographer/ Co-Artistic Director.       <image:caption>Dancer and choreographer Gianni Di Marco, a native of Venezuela, began his dance training in 1981 in the Professional Division of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Di Marco joined Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 1988, was promoted to second soloist in 1990, and first soloist the following year. He joined Boston Ballet in 1995, retiring in 2005. Di Marco has also danced with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and Germany’s Opera Leipzig Ballet. Di Marco has created a number of works for a variety of institutions, including Boston Ballet fundraising galas. Di Marco’s short works—Killing Time, Amphibious Love and Gracias a La Vida—have been performed for Festival Ballet Providence’s Up CLOSE, on HOPE series. Di Marco was named principal of City Dance in 2005, Boston Ballet’s outreach program which enriches more than 3,000 Boston public school children a year, and he also teaches Boston Ballet’s Adaptive Dance Program, created for children with Down Syndrome. He has recently started a new program for kids with autism. He is co-artistic director of The Boston Conservatory’s Summer Dance Intensive.</image:caption>
